Ashwathi

This is the sloka or prayer for the Nakshatra Aswathi, which was given by my mentor who inspired me to do this work. Each lunar constellation covers 13 degrees, 20 minutes. It begins with Ashwini Nakshatra. Ashwini is the brightest star in the constellation of Aries. It is the first nakshatra in the lunar mansion in Hindu astrology. There is a ruling planet, ruling lord, plant, element, bird, Animal for each star. I did a compilation of attributes of each nakshatra as an artist. I don’t know anything about the subject, I mean astrology. So the experts may find a lot of mistakes. More than painting it’s like a storyboard or you can call it an illustration because I just compiled the pieces of information.

Some stories attached to each star attracted me. In this, it was Aswini kumaras. The ruling Lord of Aswathi /Ashwini Nakshatras. The Ashvins (or Ashwini Kumaras) are brothers; Nasatya (elder Ashwin) is the God of Health and his younger brother, Dasra, is the God of Medicine. Son of Lord Sun and Sarayu the goddess of clouds.. Ashwini kumaras are the golden armored horse-headed twins are physicians to the gods, the friends of the sick and unfortunate. It is said that the wife of Pandu prayed to the Ashwins and blessed with two children called Nakula and Sahadheva and they represented brainwork and intellect
