The series was sparked by my spiritual mentor. In my travels with him, there were many profound learnings, but we never discussed art. One fine morning, he asked me to paint the Nakshatras. I was at a loss for inspiration, unsure of the first stroke, and the canvas lay blank. The next day he initiated me with the Mantra of the first Nakshatra and asked me to begin painting.
Understanding the Tantra opened a veiled current of energy in me. Channelling this energy, I sailed my way through the series of 30 illustrations in canvas (5 X 4 feet).
