A Blessed Evening in Spain

After a busy day with official meetings, I had two days off in Barcelona -a weekend. A very artistic energy-filled place enriched by the legacy of painters like Salvador Dali and Picasso and the architect Gaudi. As I was on a business trip I couldn’t plan our visits to see Barcelona. It was impossible to get tickets to see the Sagrada Familia but was lucky enough to get a few tickets for Gaudi’s Palace -CASA MILA. It is the last private residence designed by architect Antoni Gaudí. The palace looked so different from the outside and I was so enthusiastic to get inside. Casa Milà is built with stones and has a rustic charm. A handy audio guide is given when you enter to educate you about the building. The designs ensured natural lighting and ventilation during the day. He has incorporated nature into architecture. I took over 2 hours for the visit. But I think you need to spend half a day to understand the energy circulations on the place. You will be glad that you finally made it to cherish one of the world’s most impressive architectures.

The Basilica and Expiatory Church of the Holy Family is the most famous attraction in the beautiful city of Barcelona. It is based on the design of world-famous Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. It is the largest unfinished Roman Catholic church in Barcelona, which started construction in 1882.No matter which direction you approach the structure it makes you wonderstruck.

Oh!!, I regretted not booking the tickets earlier!!!!

After going to Basilica, I wanted to buy some artwork of the church. But couldn’t as the whole team who I was traveling with were tired and wanted to grab something to eat at the earliest.

That evening I was just walking on the streets of Barcelona alone when I met an artist on the street. I sat near him and watched him, everyone was giving him a few coins. I didn’t know what to give him. I told him that I didn’t know what to give him. He smiled, took a paper, and sketched the Barcelona church. Finally, he wrote a small note for me after asking my name. I realized that he was much much richer and blessed than me to gift me a painting of the church. He asked me to give him 50 cents, the cost of my colors, and paper. He continued to say that his time was a gift for me. God always has his way of giving you a message that you seek.
